One of my favorite places in the city and a great spot for date night. Everything is phenomenal but the pastas are cooked to perfection. We have tried the Trofiette al Pesto e Pistacchio and Chitarra alla Carbonara last time. You can definitely taste the pistachio, so if that isn't your speed you may want to try something else. The Carbonara was probably the creamiest I've had in the city and if you think you don't like Carbonara then this may change your mind. This time around we tried the Fusilli Cinghiale e Funghi and the Salmon al Topinambur. The Fusilli is great for a Winters day but it will knock you out for the night. The Salmon was pretty good as well, but I would suggest leaning towards the pastas or meat dishes. For an appetizer we ordered the Fritto Primavera, which was light and perfectly crisp. I can't close this out without mentioning the decor, which was beautiful. I wish I snapped a picture to post but whomever designed it should receive a raise.

Came back for dinner service and sadly didn't love it! I heard at least 4 tables asking for salt , us included so just be aware that's where the favors are if you're a salt fiend. The ambiance is stunning though tables are a little tight and service was just okay as opposed to the great service we had the first time we came! The fritto was delish again however and would recommend! My mom got the lasagna and sadly didn't enjoy it, I got the Aglio olio and could have used some lemons and salt!

Filetto Tartufato (Beef filet, Truffle butter, sautéed mixed mushroms, roasted potatoes): 5/5, best steak I've ever had! The medium was perfect, red yet not bloody. The mushrooms and sauce were marinated to perfection. So tender and the potatoes were seasoned beautifully. There was something, maybe cheese, garnished on the potatoes that gave it a nice crunch, but it didn't have the cheese "stinky" smell, not sure what it is. The mushroom also didn't taste mushroomy--fungi haters will enjoy this. Carpaccio di Polipo (Ortopus carpaccio, lemon dressing, cherry tomatoes, olive tapenade, chive oil): Mom gave it 5/5! Never had something like this before and she loved it. We were confused if we ordered the right thing, the octopus is thinly sliced, like pepperoni. It's not very filling so she got salmon. Salmon al Topinambur (with Sunchoke purée, sautéed vegetables): 2/5... such a disappointment honestly. The salmon was very fishy. My air fry salmon is much better. There's no seasoning on the salmon or veggies, at least none we could taste, and the only thing "special" about the dish was these crunchy garnishes on the salmon. SKIP THIS. Service was great and friendly. Very attentive with water. The food also came out super quick; I almost think it's precooked because both our foods were ready less than 10 minutes from our order. Interior is so nice, esp on Christmas. They put giant wreaths all over and the inside is softly lit, plus each table has candles. It's not quiet, but feels intimate. Warning that for two, tables might sit close.

As a newcomer to Olio e Più, I decided to dive into their happy hour, and I must say, I was blown away! Although the happy hour menu is somewhat limited, the calamari stole the show--perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and a delightful treat that kept me coming back for more. I paired it with a couple of my favorite spritzes, and it was a match made in culinary heaven. The ambiance at Olio e Più is nothing short of enchanting. The romantic and cozy atmosphere creates an inviting retreat on a chilly evening in River North. Whether on a date or simply looking to escape the hustle and bustle, this spot sets the perfect scene for relaxation and connection. Service-wise, I couldn't have asked for more! Our bartender was attentive and friendly and instinctively recommended drinks that perfectly suited our tastes. His expertise made our experience feel even more personalized, adding to the warm, welcoming vibe of the place. Overall, Olio e Più is a gem I can't wait to visit again!

As a first-timer at Olio e Più, I decided to stop in for their happy hour, and I was thoroughly impressed! While the happy hour menu isn't extensive, the calamari dish was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Paired with a generous pour of house wine, it was definitely worth the price. The ambiance is romantic and cozy--a perfect spot for a cold evening in River North. The vibe made the experience even more enjoyable, whether you're on a date or just looking for a warm and inviting place to unwind. The service was excellent! Came here for our last dinner in Chicago and they delivered some delicious and authentic Italian dishes! The vibe in here is bustling, especially on a Saturday evening. We had reservations at 7:30 and arrived a little bit earlier to get seats at the bar. Aly served us and she did a nice job. We ordered a few cocktails which were pretty good, and tried several of their appetizers and pastas. Some standouts were their calamari, octopus carpaccio, carbonara pasta, and the boar sausage bolognese. Absolutely delicious and comforting on a chilly winter Chicago night. Our dishes came out quickly except for our filet mignon which took the longest. By the end, we were so full and it still hadn't come out yet so we ended up canceling it. Otherwise, we had a great dining experience with Olie e Più.

Marija was also the best server! She made sure we had everything we needed and asked about allergies in advance! Food + drink was also AMAZING! Also, the interior is decorated for Christmas and it's so pretty!
